The Facts Bob Graduated from Colorado Law Enforcement Training Academy, Camp George West, Golden, Colorado and was Deputy Sheriff for Dick Kienast in 1977. In 1979 he became Patrol Director for the Pitkin County Sheriff’s Office. In 1981 he was Jail Administrator with focus on designing, financing and construction of new jail. In 1983 he became Director of Operations for the Pitkin County Sheriffs’ Office. In 1985 he was appointed to the Board of County Commissioners and in 1986 Bob Braudis was elected Sheriff of Pitkin County. He has a wide variety of experience in Incident Management including Search and Rescue, Air Search and Rescue, Wildfire Suppression, Presidential Visits, Diplomat Protection, Hostage Situations, Major Crimes, Major Events and Mass Casualty Transportation His affiliations with Volunteer Organizations include Aspen Community School, Aspen Counseling Center, Aspen Historical Society, Aspen Substance Abuse Program, Aspen Youth Experience, Mountain Rescue-Aspen, Inc. and Pitkin County Air Rescue Response Download a full list of Bob's on the job experience, his professional affiliations, his volunteer organization affiliations and his formal training: pdf download. |
